EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. It is a very simple technique that is based on tapping easily accessible acupressure points with your fingers to rid yourself of obsessive or negative thoughts, cravings and physical ailments. I have thoroughly researched the subject and it is undeniable that studies do show very significant beneficial results. For obvious reasons please read the medical disclaimer below.Main stream science and critics have described the theory behind EFT as pseudoscientific and have suggested that any utility stems from its more traditional cognitive components, such as the placebo effect, the distraction from negative thoughts, and the therapeutic benefit of having someone actually listen, rather than from manipulation of energy meridians.
In the end, what matters to someone who is suffering from an unhealthy habit is that EFT could offer a solution, and to many it does.I have also tried EFT personally and the results are amazing. Follow this link to the EFT manual by Gary H. Graig, the developer of EFT or visit his website.
I have designed a free downloadable EFT wallet card (credit card sized) that you can easily carry along.
As a footnote I would like to add that:
– the placebo effect is just as present in the administering of many prescribed pschotropic drugs (anti-depressants, etc.)
– mainstream science is unable to “prove” the existence of acupressure points or energy meridians in spite of thousands of years of oriental medical practice.
Good luck trying EFT.
PS: EFT was developed by Gary H. Craig. The EFT wallet card is based on his book.
